Of course, most of the weapons in the Borderlands series can be a bit lackluster, given that they're all procedurally generated. And given that the games proclaim to have "bazillions" of different guns available, there's no shortage of loot awaiting players. It's a good thing then that nearly everything in the Borderlands games will explode into a shower of colorful goodies if you shoot at them enough.
